411 special forces squad. Special fighters

Hello, I saw inaccuracy the first number of this brigade was 42610, based on the consolidated detachment stationed in the city of Chirchik, Tashkent region. The described data on the detachment formed in the 80th year had the name among us "Muslim battalion", he was outside the territory of the unit and lived in tents And they were from all over the USSR and the criterion was one ... nationality. Also, the battalion that stood in the GDR against the city of Tsvaybryukin in the period 70- and before the collapse is not indicated. Three stories from the old brigade))))
1.On the order of Zaitsev, more precisely, according to his favorite words "I come and wonder," he said the following that when passing by the fish factory he discovered that some fishermen have Lenin, but our brigade does not! tomorrow, and distributedt 1 baht is responsible for the monument, 2 for the pedestal, and the third for the flowerbed))) in general, it happened)) though the next day 10-15 cars arrived at the checkpoint gate with the prosecutor's office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the administration. went out to them because the brigade commander was not there ... well, he raised a guard in full combat at the checkpoint, put the first line of the rest at random and ordered that any person crossing the white line at the checkpoint should be immediately shot, and added which of the soldiers would do the first thing to go home to vacation)) in general, there is no better dream for a soldier)) of course everyone left ... then from the stories I heard that he was summoned to the district, they gave him a strict one, and after a couple of months the extraordinary rank of colonel)))
2.The water was bad, and we just didn't have time to get to ZIL, in general, the old servicemen said to give birth to some water)) Well, the soldiers went to the city. They walk and see a barrel tied with a chain to a tree, and the KVAS inscription had a very effect on them, more precisely the fact that it is full)). The barrel lost its chain and went across the river to the steppe))) and by roundabout ways to the brigade. )
3. Well, this is directly related to me, our brigade commander "pioneer" made an unthinkable sports camp, we hung there)) but that's just the trouble he said after building us, everything is done, the asphalt will also be one of these days, but there is no skating rink ... . general vacation to the one who "will give birth to this miracle"))) I went to the city. And passing by the newly built kindergarten I saw HIM)))) returning to the unit walked around the "kents" and purely out of friendship asked for help, was afraid the bride would be taken away)) ) there were 20 volunteers. I went to the DC and explained the situation ... more precisely, that all this was ordered by the brigade commander, he said I don’t know and I don’t see anything, then behind the car)) in general, they carefully tied the watchman with a caramultuk and loaded the skating rink on Zila. from the weight in front of the truck, almost lifted off the ground, well, they solved the problem very radically)) who is on the cool, who is on the hood)) can you imagine Zil is going and his 20 people stuck to the front))) well, in part of us, a guy with a spray gun was already waiting for us. there is an inverter number on it, like the part number. "Pioneer" liked to throw waves well, for a part, well, and through the guardroom to catch vigilance))) and some knew that during that night, and the skating rink was in a prominent place)) When he saw it, he probably walked around for 10-15 minutes)) touched the paint, ehh still not dried up))) the guys are pushing me in the side, they say, go, I gently approach and then he sees my maneuver responds to me, I run up, report and he is so well and that he starts up ??? I say yes. , smiles. And he even drives ?? I say, of course !! In general, he takes me by the sleeve, went to the personnel department, and I get the cherished leave to get married)))) There were such funny cases))) Thank you

411 ooSpN was formed as part of 22 ooSpN in the village of Shindand (DRA).
A feature of the recruitment of the detachment was that almost all officers and personnel had served in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan for at least six months.
A. Fomin, formerly the chief of staff of the 7th detachment, was appointed as a battalion commander, and A. Khudyakov, who had arrived from the Union, was appointed as a deputy. There he served in the Moscow intelligence center. The chief of staff was N. Dubrovin, who had previously served as a company commander in Lashkar Gakh. For all positions of commanders of companies, groups, squads, people came from the units of the 22nd special forces brigade operating in Afghanistan at that time. All other positions were occupied by officers, warrant officers and personnel from units of the 5th motorized rifle division stationed in Shindand. As it usually happens, the division got rid of the "ballast". Many used drugs, stole and sold anything that could be sold or exchanged. One can imagine what difficulties the unit command and subunit commanders had to face in working with people whose professional and moral character left much to be desired. Only thanks to the authority based on military merit, high professional and personal qualities of such officers as Konstantin Kozhmyakov, Alexander Mirovnyi, Vadim Bykov and some others, there was discipline in the detachment.

In the last days of December 1985, the entire detachment on military equipment made a 100-kilometer march to the point of permanent deployment, where it met the new year of 1986.
The detachment blocked the caravan routes from Iran. The intensity of their use at the initial stage was low. Accordingly, the performance was rather low.

Proceeding from the peculiarities of the operational situation and the geographic properties of the terrain, the large area of the area of the zone of responsibility, the tactics of conducting search and ambush actions were used. At first, they left for a period of 3 days, then for 5 days to remove up to 100 km from the RPM. Groups were delivered by helicopters or armored vehicles. Every day, helicopters flew over the terrain with the aim of detecting and destroying the "spirits", as well as reconnaissance of the area. The information collected made it possible to more effectively use groups on foot and on armor. Raids were rare.
At a distance of more than 100 km in all directions, there were no parts of the limited contingent and the "spirits" sometimes behaved carelessly, for which they suffered. Over time, the detachment increased the efficiency of its work and seriously made life difficult for the spirits in their area.
Was withdrawn to the Union as a part of 22 brigade and remained in its composition. He worked very successfully before and during the hostilities in Dagestan. Takes part in hostilities in the Second Chechen Campaign.

In "Bortzhurnal № 57-22-10" (http://artofwar.ru/f/frolow_i_a/) there is a story "Tired flight technician". It describes the day on February 12, 1987, when helicopters of the 302nd ove took part in the actions to unblock the ambushed convoy 0016, which was returning to Shindand from Kandahar.

Somehow, surfing the Internet, I came across several memories of the participants in that battle, collected again by its participant Eduard Malyavin, then I myself received several letters of memories. Only now, after a quarter of a century, I saw that battle through the eyes of its “earthly” participants. What was distant, hidden in the smoke from burning cars and explosions, suddenly came closer and cleared up. But there is an aberration of memory, when the participants confidently or not very much remember, along with what was, what in fact was not. Alien memory distorted by time, intertwining with yours, creates a strange picture in which even you yourself exist in several versions ...

With your permission, I will first give you a view from above - that is, my own. Not by pull, but solely in order to start, as expected, from afar.

Igor Frolov, flight technician of the Mi-8MT helicopter, 302nd ove, Shindand:

February 12, 1987, Shindand Air Base. Our pair of Mi-8 # 10 and # 92 flew in from Turagundy, brought mail. Refueled, gathered for lunch. The squadron engineer came running, said that there was a battle in the Dilaram area, our convoy was ambushed, the squadron commander went to the rescue, was shot down, moved to the winged side, now turns on the "ceiling", works as a relay, so urgently to take off. We loaded six blocks of nurs, I always had six zinc with machine-gun belts of 250 rounds on board, - we took off, at an extremely low point we went south, towards Farahrud. There, at the base point 411 ooSpN, there was a link of helicopters, we wondered why they were not raised to help, - from there to the place of battle, a three-minute flight.

The battle site was seen from afar through the smoke from burning cars. Here Farahrud branched out, and the column was squeezed on the road between two bridges - on the left is the riverbed, on the right - a chain of peas.
The target designation was on the right side, we had to strike at the positions of the "spirits" in these hills. By order of the commander, I opened machine gun fire on the right side. Since the height was about 300 meters, I was afraid to hit the column, I tried to lead the line to the right. According to the reports of the convoy through our squadron commander, the "spirits" were firing heavy fire on our pair, so we could not come closer. We struck a missile strike with two sides in volleys on the right side, went to the second round.

The squadron commander said that a rocket had been launched at us by the "spirits". The pair performed an anti-missile maneuver, going out into the sun and firing off heat traps.

When exiting the bend, the tail (tail) rotor control jammed on my board, we lost directional control, at first we thought that we were hit. It turned out that the receiver bag of the shot cartridges had slipped off my machine gun and some of them flew into the cockpit, and one cartridge case fell under the commander's pedals, jamming them. I took out the sleeve, control was restored. Then my side landed on the left side behind the ridge, an APC with the wounded drove up there, we loaded them up and went to Farahrud's “point”. Su-17s flew towards them to strike at the "spirits". In Farahrud, we took on board the wounded who had been brought there. While they were loading, I heard that, allegedly, after the start of the shelling, the convoy commander escaped in a car. Others said that he went for help because there was no long distance communication.

We flew to Shindand and left the wounded in the hospital. We refueled the sides, then new crews came up - again there, after the wounded. Instead of me, my replacement, Ilyus Mukhametov, flew. It was already evening, flew away, having previously gained altitude. We returned in the morning.

Later I listened to the story of our helicopter pilots, a pair of squadron commanders. It was said that the squadron commander, after being hit by the Nursami, went down and passed over the positions of the "spirits" to clear it out with a machine gun, and received a burst from the AK in the bottom from the trench, the connecting fuel valve was broken, and the fuel began to drain quickly. We decided to sit down and go to the slave side. They sat down. The flight technician said it was good that the engines did not shut down - the "spirits" did not allow the wingman to approach and were already surrounding the helicopter, the navigator was firing back into a blister from a machine gun. When I saw the grenade launcher, then we got up and went to the “point” of Farahrud - there was just enough fuel in the supply tank.

I participated in the inspection of the damaged helicopter when it was brought in. It turned out that the armor-piercing bullet hit the rod connecting the pedals and the hinges of the tail rotor blades. The bullet pierced the tube, already deprived of energy, and lodged in the tube. If she had interrupted the thrust, the helicopter, most likely, having lost control, would not have been able to land, it would have simply fallen and crashed ...

Andrey Khalipov, doctor of the 0016 column:

I was on a flight as part of convoy 0016 - 2 of the automobile company of our unit (field mail 51963), which came under fire on 02/12/1987.The unit was tasked with delivering fuel to Kandahar to the airfield from our base in Shindand in two days, merging and return back in two days. The tight deadlines were due to the need for an early delivery of fuel before the start of reconciliation, so the head of the column was the commander of the unit, Lieutenant Colonel V. Ye. Kretinin, he had just returned from vacation. On 02/12/1987, our column left Kandahar in the opposite direction after the fuel was drained, and we had to reach Dilaram - overnight. I was a doctor in the convoy, walking, as usual, as part of a technical closing. During a stop in Girishki, an Afghan motorcyclist went back and forth along the convoy several times, stopping at almost every car. Communicated amicably with officers, soldiers, finding out whether we were "full" or "empty", where we were going, and then went ahead, so they conducted reconnaissance in relation to us, "counted", studied the formation of the column.

At about 12 noon we came under fierce fire from grenade launchers and small arms between the Karawangakh and Galamekh outposts. The first was immediately knocked out of the escort BRDM battalion - an explosion on a land mine and a hit from a grenade launcher. The driver-mechanic S. Kargin was killed, the remains from the burnt-out BRDM were taken out the next day on 13.02.87. The same - first of all, they tried to knock out 2 of our KamAZ trucks from the convoy with ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns in the bodies. Everyone tried to get out of the fire by increasing speed. After leaving the wrecked burning cars, we all shifted from the curbs to the side, fired back. "Spirits" came out to the road in full growth. According to the special officer of the unit, according to the materials of the investigation, the shelling was indicative in our direction - before the reconciliation, video was filmed.

At the battle site, the "spirits" were found 7 positions for the grenade launcher and 4 for the calculations of the DShK. The gang included instructors - mercenaries from China and the United States. There were 60–80 of them in total, so the firing zone was large. Scouts from Shindand rushed to rescue us, who were in the mountains at a height and saw the battle. Under fire on an infantry fighting vehicle, they broke through to the wrecked vehicles, picked up live drivers, anti-aircraft gunners and took them to the outpost, where the wounded received assistance. From there, in the evening, we sent the wounded by a "turntable" to the hospital. Also, our commander returned to the place of shelling on a tank from Karawangakh. Killed from a shrapnel wound to the head.

The result of the battle: 4 people were killed in our convoy - Lieutenant Colonel VE Kretinin, Warrant Officer VA Omelchenko, Private P. Ulozas, Private A. P. Muravin, 7 were wounded. Many drivers were hit by small shrapnel, secondary elements from bullets hitting the cabins. These injuries were practically not taken into account.

The overall result of the battle in terms of technology: we completely burned down 12 vehicles, heavily damaged - 11, knocked out 1 BRDM, 4 infantry fighting vehicles, 2 tanks. When I was next to our car hit by a grenade launcher, I saw a "spirits" launch from behind the hill of the "Stinger" type MANPADS towards the Mi-24 link, the helicopter pilot reacted, the helicopter, after the maneuver and firing off the thermal missiles, touched on a tangent, and he left with damage to the base. I have no information about losses in personnel among the scouts. We were picked up by an infantry fighting vehicle from a burning car, moved to the outpost, but then we were hit by a grenade launcher. When leaving the BMP, the radio operator (I do not know his last name) was fatally wounded in the chest, was in light armor, then died of bleeding, since it was not possible to evacuate him in time and provide assistance in the required amount. On the night of the 12th to 13th, with the scouts, I went to the BMP to collect our dead, by the morning we were in Dilaram, and then returned to the base after collecting as part of our column. The gang left the scene of the battle before the arrival of our main forces from Shindand.

Vyacheslav Vlasyan, senior outpost No. 21 "Karavangakh":

I was the head of the outpost and led the battle to unblock the column.

From Farah was a column under the command of the chief of staff of the tank battalion, Major Mikhail Pozhidaev. In the Landai-Karez area, she was ambushed, there were killed and wounded. The ambush on the 0016 column was organized by the former head of intelligence of the 201st Motorized Rifle Division Zayats, who was an adviser to Mahmat Shah's gang. Kargin burned down in the BRDM-2 as a result of an explosion. Reconnaissance 371 MRR arrived late, at the battle site there were 3 infantry fighting vehicles from the outpost and 14 soldiers. The battle lasted 5.5 hours, there were about 150 "ghosts". In the same place, he was surrounded, and he was filmed, the commander of the artillery division 371 mega-rifle regiment Major Gromyko, whom we managed to save (later, in 1994, he died in an explosion at the Kotlyakovskoye cemetery). The commander of the column, Lieutenant Colonel Kretinin, and a number of soldiers and officers were killed. The BMP gunner, Private Sidoryuk, covered the withdrawal of the wounded in a burning car until the explosion of the car. Helicopters with a company from Shindand arrived only 6 hours later. All the wounded and killed were taken to the hospital in Shindand.

The hare was not found. He is in Pakistan. There were 6 dead, about 20 wounded. About half of the column was burned, and 24 vehicles were walking, not counting the BRDM. The tank was destroyed 1 from Farahrud, BMP - 2 from Farahrud and BMP, the Mi-8 “turntable” was touched, it went to Shindand.

In addition, in the Kandahar region, 10 days later, a courier was destroyed and a videotape of this battle was captured. I have a second copy of the report, which I wrote to the commander of the 371st Mechanized Rifle Regiment, Dyakov, already in the hospital. Rather, the nurse wrote the report under my dictation, my hands were injured. Regarding the participation of the Hare, this information was told to me in the hospital by a representative special department who interrogated me.

Yuri Bystrov, guard sergeant, reconnaissance company of the 371st regiment:

On February 12, 1987, we were at the Karawangah point, half of the company went into the mountains in an ambush. What is most interesting, ours were sitting on the mountain to the right of the concrete road, and the "spirits" to the left - as they did not collide at night, it was just a miracle, otherwise half of the reconnaissance company would not have been alive, and maybe "spirits" - after all, we also not candy wrappers were.

I stayed in the second half of the company, because only from the hospital, and therefore they did not take me to the mountains, and in general, when half a company remains on the armor, it means that something will be serious, there must have been some data from special intelligence, otherwise we They did not send them there - as far as I remember, we were wooling there for a whole month. At night the company left, who stayed, spent the night, had breakfast in the morning, Mirzarakhimov and I washed the dishes, just the 0016 column passed, the most interesting thing, the "nalivniki", in my opinion, were empty. Why would the "spirits" burn an empty column?

When we approached, there was already a blaze with might and main, we, of course, were also immediately fired upon. At that moment, when we were jumping from the armor, a bullet hit Mirzarakhimov between the armor in the liver, immediately on the spot, there was almost no blood. They jumped, who is shooting from where - it is not clear. The intelligence chief was with us, this is another sign that something must be - he was in the gunner's place, the electric drive was jammed, nothing could be seen in the triplex. I sat on the tower and, guided by the flashes and dust, said where they were shooting from, and he fired there, but for a long time I could not sit like that, I also jumped. We didn’t have enough cartridges for a long time, we were lying with a kerey, I don’t exactly remember his name, I remember that he was walking all the time with a grenade in his pocket, a nervous guy, we were lying with him, we heard someone shouting. We go up - there the escort car is hit, the body sticks out of it. Well, I went there to his full height, there were two - one was seriously wounded, from the speech, as I understand it, the Baltic states, but I could be wrong, I took him under the arms and into the ditch, where the Keri took him, and I followed the second, here he is definitely Uzbek , he was lightly wounded, but there was a lot of panic, I still yelled at him to get up. Then the Keri ran up, and we two of us into the ditch to the first - there we already loaded them into the "landing". It was then, I don’t remember which of them, said that the driver remained there. We go there, and there everything is already exploding inside, probably the ammunition. If they would have said early, maybe they had time, but the guy burned out.

In my opinion, the Uzbek whom we pulled out was not from the column, they took him at some "point", he seemed to be going to the hospital, then at the "point" where they were brought, he prayed for reconnaissance. Then we returned several times - the last time at night, took away the corpses or whoever was still alive. One guy was crawling on his bellies on the concrete, and he died - we couldn't put him into the "landing", we had to break his hands.

Oleg Khomyakov, reconnaissance company of the 371st regiment:

February 12, 1987. Was in the regiment. The CBU has been in turmoil since the morning. A couple of helicopters flew south. The "turntable" began to bring up the wounded. I haven't seen our Mirzarakhimov. Only then did the headquarters officer tell the guy to collect the duffel bag. What did he have? Only three months in the company, all the clothes on the "point". I borrowed the bag for good, collected something, and then everything is new. I took a fresh letter from the post office, unread (they were taken to the "point" with any opportunity). It happened.

Chronology of events according to Slavik Dmitriev, 2nd platoon, our call. It seems that the usual implementation of intelligence is active movement between Karawangakh and Galamekh, just where the road goes to more or less open terrain from the pass. Layered trenches from the Iranian border. Fortified firing points at the nearest heights. Two platoons left Galameh. The second was the closest. Probably, fortunately, that at the last moment Glushchenko decided to occupy a different height instead of the previously appointed one. Subsequently, the first was in the very center.

Much later, at the tactics department at the school, a senior officer, a teacher, said that at that time he was in Kabul, and the Grushniki got a cassette with a recording of that battle, and the "guys" were not all "spirits". Nigga hit the shot ...

Alexander Zharkovsky, infantry of the 371st regiment:

At that time I was a signalman on Dilaram (371th mechanized infantry regiment, communications company). In the morning I released the columns from the overnight stay (most of the columns on the way from Shindand to Kandahar and back spent the night with us). 0016 ("nalivniki", like "Ural", came from Kandahar) left the first, followed by the next. After about an hour and a half (or maybe less) I received an SOS attack from them. Those who had not yet had time to leave us braked (some of the cars later returned from the highway, some braked at neighboring “points”). Reported to the senior on the "point" (the commander of the infantry platoon 371 MRR), then to the senior reconnaissance company (also 371 MRR). Almost all the reconnaissance company at that time was in the Galamekh area, they had information about the alleged attack, and they moved to the approximate area (this is according to the intelligence officers). By communication, then for a long time (20-30 minutes) they could not "shout" to Farahrud (411 ooSpN and helicopter pilots were stationed there). There was no time for communication (the "points" then got in touch with the report after 2 hours, after this incident - after 1 hour). In addition to me (I was releasing columns, therefore I was on the air), the Central Service Administration of my regiment and divisions were in touch, and from the “points” Karawangakh, Farah, Chara - someone else. On the air, in addition to orders and orders in the case of math-rewinding and disassembly, as is usually the case in such cases. Then the scouts and everyone else approached the area of the attack (Farahrud's special forces, regimental column, I don't remember all of them). According to the scouts, the "spiritual" fire was so dense that the "turntables" could not be suitable for aimed shooting... Among the losses: half a column of vehicles burned down, an escort armored vehicle, two tanks that came from the regiment (in question) (according to the scouts, one tank had its turret demolished, the other left the crew), a downed turntable, and some other equipment. I do not know the loss of personnel. The scouts among the "spirits" saw a videographer and blacks. The scouts killed a young boy in that battle. They returned to the point the next day or even the next day. They carried out a sweep, climbed the kyariz.

Yuri Maslosh, Farahrud special forces (411th ooSpN):

I have been on duty in the company for several days in a row. The main forces of our battalion, including the "turntables", went to the city of Farah to provide protection for General Akhromeev. Only the internal security remained, not a single operational or on the move combat vehicle - no BMP, no armored personnel carrier, no "Shilka". Whether the "spirits" knew about it or not, I don't know. The battalion on duty that day was Lieutenant Misevra, he runs into the company and shouts: “‘ ‘Spirits’ ’attacked our convoy, ours are asking for help over the radio. In our park, one ‘‘ Shilka ’’ stood without batteries, blow into the park, we will put the batteries and go to the rescue! ”

In general, we drove two cars onto the road: "Shilka" and an infantry fighting vehicle or an armored personnel carrier - I don't remember. They were constantly deaf, realized that we would not go far, everything had to be canceled, and they did not receive any help from us. But I know that a tank came forward from the nearest "point" to help. When they saw the tail of the column that was attacked from the tank, they hit the tank so that the tower was torn off ...

Nikolay Ivanov, chief of staff of the 196th separate motor vehicle battalion:

I myself was not in the column at that time, and the data that I collected and submitted on people and technology upstairs, I passed on to my successor.

I can say that that march was urgent, unscheduled and not entirely secured in terms of control, since before that the radio station R-142n was destroyed near Kandahar, with which the 0016 column was connected with the battalion, DP, CBU, etc.

An ambush was organized on both sides of the road. To the right of the highway are mountains (low), to the left is the floodplain of a dried-up river. After detonating a land mine, an offensive from the side of the floodplain was shown as a diversion. The column fire was directed to the left. After that, shelling from machine guns and grenade launchers began from the mountains. Almost the remains of the column were taken in tongs.

At that time, near Kandahar, a large operation was taking place to destroy the bandit formations, and it was necessary to urgently deliver fuel to Kandahar, and in the shortest possible time. They collected the remains of tank trucks from us and formed a convoy. Most at this time were in Lashkargah (2/3 of the battalion). Our convoy did not have a P-142 to provide communications, there were only P-123 and P-173 (VHF). Together with our convoy, we sent a convoy from the 424th regiment. Long-distance communication was maintained through their radio station. On their return from Kandahar, the 424th troop convoy remained in the parking lot in the area of the "desert battalion" - this is the parking lot where they always spent the night in front of the entrance to Kandahar. Our column went home, naturally, without long-distance communications. In the area of Karawangakh, before reaching Farahrud, the column was met by "spirits". In the middle of the convoy they blew up a land mine, blocked the way forward for the remains of the convoy, knocked out KamAZ with the ZSU technical closure and a couple more cars behind the convoy and started hammering on the convoy. The firing positions of the "spirits" were well prepared. At each firing point there was a grenade launcher, a machine gunner, and some of a sniper. The battalion commander with the first half reached Farahrud, called for help and himself returned to the column in a tank. They were met to the point of shelling of the column about 2 kilometers away. They knocked out a tank, then another and 4 infantry fighting vehicles. As far as my memory serves me, the BRDM with Kargin was also hit there at the same time. Communication was only within the column, there was no long-distance communication. Then, from the outpost, they reported to the Central Bank of Ukraine, took the plane into the air to relay communications via VHF. In short, only 6-7 hours after the start of the shelling, actions began to block the "spirits" and pull out the convoy. We have destroyed 14 cars. After the evacuation in a vehicle with a ZSU, we counted more than 250 holes from small arms and two hits from a grenade launcher.

At that time we had information that the attack was prepared and carried out with the participation of mercenaries, including those who spoke Russian, this is confirmed by the participants in those events from our side. They were dressed in black clothes with white belts and white headdresses. There was also information that these were, as it were, ostentatious activities for the commanders of the bandit formations. Here's a short summary of what I remember.

Vasily Kolosov, the driver of the bomb carrier of the 1331-1332 column:

Our convoy on the way to the pass was overtaken by a convoy of "nalivniki" (seemingly already empty) as if scalded. We were stopped at the checkpoint - a message: the column that had overtaken us was hammering at the pass. Our battalion stood for two or three days (the food ran out, they drove it in a "turntable"). But the "spirits" were waiting for any column, and it could be ours. To help them, in addition to ground forces, a link of helicopters (three) came out. The scheme is old - they knocked out the last one, then the rest. I myself saw how the helicopter (and there were squadrons in it, if my memory serves, Major, I don’t remember the last name) smoked very heavily, flew over the heads and did not sit down, but fell straight into the hospital. Then the squadron commander died in the hospital ...

Alexander Mageramov, reconnaissance company of the 371st regiment:

In April 1988, we stuck for a long time on the hills around the burned-out vehicles of column 0016, and my subordinates from the RR 371 regiment told me everything in order. The fact is that there was no complete destruction of the column - in my opinion, about 5 people died, and another 15 people were wounded. The main column, together with the chief, reached, it seems, right up to Farahrud, and there the elder was asked if his column was being crushed. He didn't even believe it at first. I waited - no tail. Then he sat at the helm of the tank and in a column of 2 tanks and 2 or 3 infantry fighting vehicles flooded back. Before turning on the field where everything was happening - there are such good hills where the "spirits" were waiting for them - each of the cars got an anti-tank grenade in the ass and remained in this nook (I saw all this scrap metal), only one tank with the senior of the column (all were wounded) drove forward and got stuck on the hill (our soldiers later found him behind the levers). And another officer, who was driving an infantry fighting vehicle, said that he was going, he sensed that his legs were hot. He looked - the BMP inside was on fire. He gave the move. It is interesting that the "spirits" then went to the column, took pictures, repulsed a few more of our attacks (Mirzarakhimov died in the 371st regiment), and in the evening they lined up and went into the mountains.

Eduard Malyavin, column 0016:

For the "nalivniki" it played a cruel joke that before this flight to Kandahar the company sergeant (I do not remember his name) collected sacks with BC from everyone. For our convenience, so as not to carry and open the zinc with cartridges, he sewed canvas bags, just for two BC, and laced them with a thin string - pulled on it, and here's the cartridges for you - it's convenient. But I did not take into account the fact that these sacks were dragged with them for more than one month and they were getting a little jittery. At the inspection, "thin bags" were found, not full, he received a hat for an oversight, collected them from everyone for revision and additional equipment. Therefore, on this flight, cartridges were thrown into the boxes right in the boxes, and everyone had 4 magazines, which flew out within minutes, and the boxes were immediately unloaded. Or rather, at one of the zushki battalion commander Kretinin fled from the ambush site, bulging his eyes out of fear, and not only did not cover his subordinates, on the contrary, he almost shot private Vaks Ivo Valeevich, who was lying on the side of the road and firing at the "spirits", and Kretinin, flying by and not understanding who was shooting where and where (and he was in the passenger seat, that is, the "spirits" from him were to his left), stuck out the AKSU "fart" through the window and fired a turn at Wax. Kretinin, in my opinion, also threatened the driver of the zushka, Sergei Merzlyakov, with reprisals in response to his desire to open fire on the "spirits." I do not know if the anti-aircraft gunner Mavlyamov fired on the move, but even if so, such shooting is ineffectual, for an ostracism, and you cannot reload the box, and they will not be there in 3 seconds with the trigger pressed. In general, the only car that escaped from the ambush was this zushka, though it passed a hundred meters around the corner and was all riddled with bullets. And when our tanks came to the rescue, Kretinin, of course, went with them to the rescue - if he hadn't gone, I think there is no need to explain what would await him. He was riding in a tank with a battalion commander, he was immediately knocked out on the way. They knocked out the second one too, the "spirits" generally fired at the tanks with a volley, both from RPGs, and from "recoilless", in the second tank the ammunition detonated, tore off and threw the turret.

There really were mercenaries, and they were filming, many saw it. The "spirits" behaved themselves, seeing their superiority, impudently, pacing up and down almost to their full height. We are all sure that Wax flunked one of the mercenaries, this was seen by many, but since they took all of their own, only the blood remained, and whose it is, go and prove ...

Thank you, dear ones, to everyone who helped us !!!

Ilyus Mukhametov, flight technician of the Mi-8 helicopter, 302nd ove:

A pair of boards # 10 and # 92 went to Farahrud for the second time already at dusk for the wounded who had been taken from the battlefield to the 411 spetsnaz base. But first we flew to the mountains, where our special forces pursued the departed "spirits", dropped lighting bombs, then returned to the "point". They sat down in the dark, guided by the fires made in the dug holes, the landing light was turned on at the very ground.

When they arrived, the officer invited the crews to go to the headquarters while preparing the wounded for dispatch. The flight technician and the navigator of the helicopter shot down in the afternoon were also here. They told how our helicopters ended up in the battle area.

A pair of Mi-8 squadron commander Lieutenant Colonel Shvetsov flew on a special mission from Shindand to Kandahar. On the way, we made an intermediate landing at the airfield in the city of Farah. Then we flew with a climb along the route. After a while, we saw the following scene: a column of "nalivniki" and armored vehicles stood on the road. The first and the last car are burning, "spirits" from both sides of the road are shelling the convoy. Ours, having taken up the defense, shoot back. The commander, without thinking twice, decided to go to the rescue and gave the command to the slave crew to get ready to go to the battle. Having worked out the positions of the "spirits" with nursami and machine-gun fire, the helicopters once again went to strike, but this time it was unsuccessful. In the headphones of the lead crew, the slave shouted: "Commander, you are burning, I see smoke from below, from the bottom!" The commander quickly made a decision: to fly away from the place of the battle, land behind the mountain and fly to the site near Farahrud on the wing board. It turned out that the armor-piercing bullet shattered the duralumin body of the valve connecting the two fuel lines from the outboard tanks. From there came a plume of kerosene, and the wingman mistook it for smoke. The kerosene leaked out in a matter of seconds, but remained in the supply tank located above the tail boom behind the gearbox. The commander risked to take off, it was impossible to wait, the "spirits" were already approaching the helicopter, the navigator was firing at them from a machine gun. There was enough kerosene for the flight to the Farahrud site. Then, changing to the slave, the squadron commander climbed to the "ceiling" to work as a repeater.

The incident was reported to the command post, aviation was requested. A pair of Mi-8s and a Su-17 flight arrived and launched missile and bomb strikes on the enemy's position.

They flew to the Shindand hospital in the early morning, brought six wounded.

Alexander Pronin, commander of the motorized rifle platoon of the Karawangakh outpost:

On February 12, 1987, I was guarded at the remote post of the Karawangakh pass (practically the highest point of the road between Karawangakh and Chara). When columns 0015 and 0016 passed by our BMP, I noticed that the guys there were tired and relaxed. Five minutes or less passed, in the lowland around the bend after the "Karawangah" outpost, shelling of the column began. We went down from the pass to the outpost. A small digression: Vlasyan was at the post at that time. By the time I arrived at the outpost from the outpost, Vlasyan had already rushed off to "wave a sword" into the column's firing zone, at that time the "spirits" were firing rockets at the outpost, and there was no one to control the fire from our side. Well, let God be his judge. We prepared places for rendering assistance to the wounded at the location of my platoon, and from there they were loaded into "turntables". During these events, I became closely acquainted with the reconnaissance company of our regiment. It is difficult to retell everything in detail now, but I will tell you briefly. After replenishing the ammunition, a group of two infantry fighting vehicles was formed (if my memory serves me) in order to once again enter the zone of shelling of the columns and try to reach Galamekh. The senior was the reconnaissance commander Sasha Glushchenko (on the head BMP), I was on the second BMP. We had scouts on our armor. Covering each other, we went through the ambush area to Galamekh. We went to Galameh closer to dawn, and after dawn the high authorities flew to Galameh. So, during these events, I and the scouts took out the burnt remains of the escort BRDM driver, and then, when it was already completely dark, we stumbled upon a damaged T-62, which had burned tires on several road wheels, the engine was running, but there was no crew ... In this tank, in the place of the loader, I was with the scouts and found Lieutenant Colonel Kretinin. When we pulled him out, he still had weak breathing, but there was severe damage from fragments of armor, which were formed when grenades hit the tower from a grenade launcher. We delivered the wounded to Galameh, and the tank too.

Sergei Dyakov, commander of the 371st regiment:

On February 12, the CBU officer on duty reported the attack on the convoy. To repel and enter the attack area, he assigned the task to three units that were closest to the convoy: MSR 2 MSB Galamekh, battalion chief of staff Vlasyan, regiment reconnaissance and Major Pogodaev, chief of staff of MSR Farahrud. I reported to the division commander A. V. Uchkin about the measures taken and the need for air support.

With a motorized rifle battalion and an artillery battalion, he advanced to the site of the attack. Many years have passed, unfortunately, many do not know what a feat the officers and soldiers who recaptured the column performed. In academies and schools this fighting example is on maps and diagrams, but people who participated in that battle are still alive. I am opposed to writing "the death of the column." I am in charge of my regiment - the attack was repulsed. I want to once again remember my fighting friends. Major Pogodaev took the battalion of Lieutenant Colonel Kretinin, who had broken through to Farahrud, on the tank - when they approached the column, they entered the battle, but a few minutes later they were knocked out from a recoilless gun, the tanker battalion commander was seriously wounded, and the chief of staff of the tank battalion continued to control the fire of two tanks. the hand was broken by a shrapnel and interfered with, he tried to cut it off with a knife, but the driver did not let him do it and kept his hand. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the lieutenant-doctor, who found himself in the very heat of the battle and provided the first medical aid, jumping from one damaged BMP to another, until the last BMP without a driver ran into the enemy trench. V. Vlasyan was the first to be wounded, was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Battle and was appointed a battalion ...

Igor Logachev, junior sergeant, driver of column 0016:

I was a driver in convoy 0016–0015, car number 23–13, I had the 13th trip in the convoy.

I remember a medical lieutenant - he wrote almost everything correctly, but he probably forgot some of the details: they began to beat us at about 12.00, the first evacuation was about 16.00. When we were evacuated to the "point", the time was about 17.00. I want to say right away that I, and everyone who was evacuated, owe my life to the guys from the intelligence service, the guys from the "point" and our infantry! I remember that during a stop in Girishki one "spirit" rode a motorcycle, one bacha walked along the column and the cat ran along the road, you bastard ...

They began to beat from the left side along the way to Farah. On the right, not a single shot was fired, I followed the car of the 2nd company. There were bangs, and the car in front braked sharply. At first it was not clear that it was slamming, then there was probably a shot from a grenade launcher at my car, as I was simply thrown out of the cockpit. I remember when I realized that they had fired at us, I felt an indescribable animal fear and the thought: "This is n .... c!" After a while, a feeling of excitement came, he began to shoot first over the concrete, and then consciously looking for a target, lying under the car.

I want to return to the "point". About an hour after arriving at the "point" from the infantry came the command: everyone who can ride on the armor, go back to evacuate the dead. Gathered, sat on the armor, drove back to the place of the massacre. I remember we drove past the “dukhovsky” cemetery, an infantry officer was with us, he said to shoot at the stones, and so we drove, shelling the left side. We arrived at the burning cars, I had to jump off the BMP, as my machine gun burned out in the car, I had to find the barrel so that I could report back to the chief of staff, Major Ivanov, later. He shares his memories here! Better to remember how after this battle he taught us to fight, sitting in the battalion! Well, I jumped, run along the cars, looking for a barrel, and from the BMP guys yell to me: “What are you, m ..... k? Drop everything! " I answered: "I can't, then the chief of staff and the company commander will tell me that I sold the machine gun to the" spirits "!" Well, thank God, I found it. He jumped onto the BMP, and threw the barrel into the box on the BMP. Let's go further. We didn’t drive even 50 meters, and shelling began on the left side of the road. I was sitting in the back, on the port side, with one foot on the hatch. Suddenly, as it bangs from behind under the foot - I look at the leg and I can not understand anything why it is all wet. And from the armor the officer yells: "Spirits!" All from the armor! " - and to me so personally and affectionately: "Jump, m ..... k, the grenade hit the tank, now it will explode!" I bullet from the armor and rolled into the ditch. And the mechanic is great - he turned the BMP towards the "spirits" - and how he got out, I don't know, only then he was next to us. The BMP went to the left on the "spirits", and after a while it rumbled so that the earth trembled. Then the scouts, who pulled us out for the second time, said that they found the tower from the BMP 20 meters away.

When we were brought to the "point" for the second time, a "turntable" flew in, I remember exactly, there was a Mi-8, sat on the concrete road, we loaded the wounded and the dead into it. I remember one boy with a wound in the chest was carried right on the mattress. When it got dark, reconnaissance was again going to go to the battle site, and we were left at the "point". And the medical lieutenant went. He had the AKSU "pukalka", and we have AKMS. He enters the dugout and says: "Guys, who will give me his machine gun?" And in response, silence! But we had one AK-74 "paddle" - just where it came from, I still can't remember - so we gave it to him. They left. We returned about 2 hours later, he gave us the machine gun and even said thank you. In general, the man was normal (I hope he is).

Then, when Chief of Staff Ivanov began to teach us how to fight, I asked the question: “Were you there? When you get there, then you will teach by your own example. " I became a corporal and at the same time received 5 days of "lips". But when they brought me to the "lip" and the nachkaraul found out where I was from, he categorically refused to accept me, arguing that there was no camera overlooking the sea. Thanks to him!

Epilogue from the originator

These testimonies are variants of one moment of that war. In fact, behind its visible chaos, an iron necessity is hidden, when Providence observes every little thing - one column overtakes another, hurrying to meet death, and a bullet flies into the joint of the armor plates, and the other bullet in a strange way does not tear the metal to the end, calming down it is like in a cradle, and the one who seemingly escaped death still returns to perish. And the lack of long-distance communication, and the leaky bags for ammunition, and the special forces that flew away to the general's guard - all this is an iron chain of accidents that make up the war. There are many truths here - one and the same person “waves a sword” and obeys an order, the same person “runs with bulging eyes” and heroically dies, pointing a tank gun ... I wonder if there is a video recording of that battle? And if it does, then where: in our old special man or in the elderly Negro? To see how your helicopter swoops down on you, pouring machine-gun fire on you, and then shrouded in smoke from the descended nurs, - crooked jets flashed, the sky shook, the camera tossed about, overturned and showed the ground ... Or vice versa - nothing shook, because everything our gifts went by, at random and at random - well, there is no evidence that they were hit on our own. Everything could happen if you forget about the iron necessity. And it is better to forget about it and perceive the day of February 12, 1987 in one shot of a real war - at first glance, stupid, at the last - heroic. What she, real, and should be.

Testing the strength, endurance and refinement of every movement. Participants in large-scale competitions had to not only shoot accurately or disarm mines, but also hit a needle with a thread.

Special forces detachments are carrying out the arrest of criminals, examining house after house. One wrong move and stretching works. Everything here is as close as possible to combat conditions. Now the team needs to urgently provide medical assistance to the wounded.

Competition of forces special purpose Rosgvardii are held in the Smolensk region, layouts of settlements are built here - a small village or a high-rise building. In their work, spetsnaz must make decisions quickly and adapt to any situation. Competitions of this scale are being held for the first time; SOBR and OMON fighters take part in them together with special forces units.

“We, SOBR employees, for the first time at such competitions, take something from these competitions for ourselves, share with others, for example, in the storming of buildings, met with many of our comrades in arms, with whom we served before, but our roads diverged through different structures, in different divisions, ”says a SOBR officer.

Every day of the competition - new challenges. The obstacle course is replaced by another novelty - the Guards biathlon. The team goes the distance at speed, and at the same time fires from various weapons - from a pistol to a grenade launcher.

“This is specifically the composition of the subunit, which goes on a combat mission. A full-fledged staff that can go out to work for a week, two weeks, a month and for detention. There are specialists, a sniper, a machine gunner, a grenade launcher, and all the rest are shooters with machine guns, ”says a SOBR officer.

They need to hit their mark and run as fast as possible, but the finish line is another challenge, and perhaps the hardest. The fighters should try to thread the needle.

At first glance, nothing special, but not after you made a march in full gear, shot a magazine or ran in a gas mask. The test with a needle seems to remind, even in the midst of the most intense battle, there are moments when a fighter must calm down, pull himself together and be as focused as possible.

This is how they test strength and endurance: first you need to carry giant logs, then - these wheels, 300 kilograms each - superhuman loads, but then more - the fighters push a 14-ton armored personnel carrier, and immediately after that they must make a 5 km march.

“Technique is more important than strength. If we approach this question technically correctly, in principle there was nothing complicated. The unit is much smaller in height, much smaller in weight than the others, but coped pretty quickly, because they knew how and what, ”says an employee of a separate special forces unit.

The Rosgvardia say that this is not just a competition, but also a large-scale exercise that will help all employees of special forces in the future.

“A rather serious headquarters has been created here, which summarizes the results of these competitions, which summarizes the methods used by the unit in the course of solving educational problems. And on the basis of these methods, a unified concept for the training of these units will be developed, ”explains Sergei Melikov, First Deputy Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation.

The competition lasted for a week, and every day the standings changed, someone was losing ground, and someone was taking the lead. As a result, the military special forces of the central district, a detachment based in Smolensk, were declared the winner.

Dislocated today in the Rostov region, the 22nd Guards Special Purpose Brigade was formed as part of the Central Asian Military District in the Kazakh city of Kapchagai. A new military district was also created in 1976 by division into Turkestan and, in fact, Central Asian. The 15th brigade of the GRU special forces was transferred to the jurisdiction of the TurkVO, it was necessary to create a new special forces unit. Over the past 14 years since the beginning of the formation of special forces troops, such formations have proven themselves so well that the need for at least one special forces brigade as part of the military district was beyond doubt. The wide range and degree of complexity of the tasks performed by the GRU special forces made the corresponding units the necessary army elite. Voentorg "Voenpro" reminds that in our store there is a whole section dedicated to the GRU Special Forces troops, for example, you can with the famous bat.

The formation of the brigade number 22 of the GRU Special Forces was completed by July 24, 1976 - today it is celebrated as the "Day of the Brigade". The place of deployment of the 22nd special-purpose brigade was a military town, in which an anti-aircraft missile unit was previously located, the arrangement of the unit was entrusted to the shoulders of the first brigade commander I.K. Frost. To form the unit, a special forces detachment from the 15th brigade of the Special Forces of the GRU General Staff and specialists in special radio communications were allocated, V.A. Voinov, whose contribution to the creation of 22 OBRSPN is difficult to overestimate. The well-known article by retired colonel Boris Kerimbayev "Kapchagai battalion" describes the training of fighters of the 22nd separate brigade of the GRU special forces at the initial stage. Among other things, he writes that in January 1980 the infrastructure of the unit was not sufficiently developed - the soldiers of the 22nd special forces brigade lived in tents, but even this was perceived as a plus: the only way to keep warm was incessant activities. Parachute jumps were carried out in the unit from the very beginning, moreover, despite the fact that there was only one parachute company in the 22 OBRSPN staff, absolutely everyone was trained - no coincidence airborne symbols on . The special forces brigade in Kapchagai in the shortest possible time began to be perceived as one of the best in the district and the country.

Military intelligence units have always been the elite of domestic armed forces... The establishment of Soviet military intelligence after the October Revolution was primarily due to N.M. Potapov, it was under his leadership that after the October Revolution the system began to recover and develop, which later turned into the structure of the Intelligence Directorate, and then the GRU of the General Staff. Military intelligence is an integral part of the military system, the importance of which can hardly be overestimated. Of course, a special section has been created in our military trade where you can purchase a variety of goods with military intelligence symbols. The most valuable in the section "Military intelligence" are, perhaps, the flags of military intelligence. First of all, I would like to highlight the official one. This banner is native to all military intelligence officers, the 22nd separate special forces brigade, which is discussed in this article, is no exception. Former or current military intelligence officers or simply interested ones can buy this military intelligence flag in the Voenpro online store today, for this it is enough to go through a simple ordering procedure and wait for delivery.

The overthrow of the Amin regime in the Republic of Afghanistan in December 1979 was organized by the forces of not only local rebels, but primarily by special forces of the KGB of the USSR with the participation of 22 OBRSPN. A detachment of the GRU army special forces from Kapchagai was formed on a national basis and played a decisive role in the success of the operation - this was the impetus for the creation of 173 ooSpN in the ZakVO (which later became part of the 22nd Guards special forces brigade) and 177 ooSpN (as part of 22 ObrSpN) in the Central Asian military district in order to perform special tasks in the territories of Asian countries. At the initial stage of the war in Afghanistan, only 177 "Muslim" detachment of the 22nd special forces brigade of the GRU took part in the hostilities. The soldiers of the "Kapchagai battalion" arrived in the DRA in October 1981 in complete secrecy, and by November 2 they were at the place of deployment in the village of Meimene. Since 1982, 177 ooSpN GRU has been redeployed to the Panjer Gorge, from where a large detachment of Ahmed-Shah Massoud was driven out shortly before, the latter vowed on the Koran to recapture this territory within a month. For the Soviet command, staying here was a matter of principle - only one special forces battalion (!!), 177 ooSpN was allocated to solve the problem. Let us clarify that the forces of Masud from the gorge with the hardest battles and huge losses were ousted by the 10-thousandth group of Soviet troops - the "mad squad" was sent to certain death. The Kapchagai battalion even exceeded its assigned task, the Panzher Gorge was under the flag of the 22nd Special Forces brigade for eight months instead of one. This cost the Orok lives, the gorge was abandoned after the conclusion of another truce with Ahmed Shah Masud. 177 ooSpN became the first unit to receive a battle banner on the territory of the DRA - it happened in 1983, at the same time 177 detachment of 22 OBRSPN was awarded the Order for Military Merit. Later, the 177 ooSpN was renamed the Gazni battalion and was one of the last to leave Afghanistan.

The military intelligence and special forces of the GRU in Afghanistan have somewhat "non-core" tasks to protect strategically important objects or storm enemy fortifications. Needless to say, Soviet military intelligence officers soon got used to the new operating mode and, in absolutely any role, terrified the enemy. Indeed, "Caution, intelligence" - just such a warning you can see on the group of goods of our military organization from the section "military intelligence". In order to buy, or just this one, it is enough to follow the link and place an order in the standard way.

By 1985, the situation in Afghanistan had changed - it was decided to use the special forces of military intelligence on a larger scale. In April 1985, the headquarters of the 22nd Special Forces, led by the commander, and three special forces detachments (173 ooSpN, 186 ooSpN, 370 ooSpN) were redeployed to the territory of the DRA. Already in October, 411 ooSpN was formed, which also became part of 22 OoSpN. In the photo below you can see fighters from the 22nd separate special forces brigade (186 ooSpN) with the first captured Stingers. 173 ooSpN was stationed in Kandahar, but now it fluttered over the city of Farahrud. As already mentioned, initially 173 ooSpN was not part of the 22nd special forces brigade, officially this happened only after the withdrawal of troops from southern Afghanistan, which 173 ooSpN was the last to leave.

The area of responsibility of 22 GRU special forces brigades was the southern part of Afghanistan, an area characterized by the greatest activity and training of Mujahideen detachments. The headquarters of the 22nd Special Operations Brigade was engaged in organizing reconnaissance, sabotage and other special operations, coordinating work with helicopter units. In 1987, a 295 separate helicopter squadron was transferred to the 22 Special Forces brigade, which also increased the effectiveness of the 22 Special Forces Special Forces brigades. During the period of hostilities, the brigade bore the rank of the 2nd Omsb Brigade (a separate motorized rifle brigade) - the actions of special forces units in Afghanistan are still largely classified today. The successful operations of the 22nd Special Forces of the GRU are known for the destruction of caravans with weapons and fortified areas of the Mujahideen, the capture of advisers from the USA, France, Germany, it has already been mentioned that the first captured "Stingers" are the merit of the special forces of the 22nd brigade. The capture of Stinger MANPADS with documentation and a contract for the supply by the forces of 22 OBRSPN is a separate story, this operation became proof of the participation of US forces in the war. In 1987, the 22nd special forces brigade of the GRU was presented with the pennant of the Minister of Defense "For Courage and Valor", it is still kept on the territory of military unit 11659 and is used in holiday parades.

It is quite difficult to count how many awards the GRU special forces units received for the Afghan war, not only those that fought under, but also the fighters of friendly units. It is impossible to count the number of honored, but not received awards at all - in our country it has always been difficult with recognition, especially by contemporaries. One thing is clear, special forces fighters - yesterday, present or future can be proud of the fact that they have been or will be in the ranks of the special forces. Our military organization helps us not to forget about military exploits and be proud of our colleagues or just compatriots, not only in wartime, but also in everyday life. Among the goods of the section "special forces of the GRU" there are several types of T-shirts with the words "Special Forces" and the corresponding symbols. Black or white and GRU special forces are available in all sizes. anyone can, just follow the link and follow the instructions.

During the Afghan war, 3196 soldiers of the 22nd Guards OBRSPN were awarded orders and medals, four were awarded the title "Hero of the Soviet Union". Private Valery Arsenov received the Hero's Star posthumously - the 173 ooSpN grenade launcher was seriously wounded in one of the combat exits, but continued to fire, and at a critical moment he covered the commander with his body, died on the spot.

On October 31, 1987, the legendary battle took place near the village of Duri, as a result of which three more servicemen of the 22nd special-purpose brigade were awarded the title of Hero of the USSR (two posthumously). A reconnaissance group under the command of Oleg Onischuk in the amount of 20 people with the call sign "Caspian" moved to the site of an ambush on a caravan of Mujahideen on October 28 and reached the place by the morning of the 30th. A convoy of three "Mercedes" full of weapons and ammunition was discovered and destroyed on the same day, but the group was ordered to stay until morning and wait for helicopters to pick up trophies and fighters from the 22nd Special Forces brigade. During the night, the militants concentrated several groups of about 200 people in the ambush area of Oleg Onischuk's group. Our main forces were supposed to arrive at 6 am, a few minutes before the designated time, the group under the command of Lieutenant Onischuk moved towards the vehicles, 11 people remained at the ambush site. The inspection group under the command of Oleg Onischuk (5 people) moved towards the car, by 6 am there were no "turntables" in the sky, but "spirits" began to appear from everywhere. The scouts of the 22nd separate special forces brigade were fifty meters away from the vehicles, when the bandits' heavy fire pressed them to the ground, it was decided to retreat to the cover group. The future hero remained to cover the departure of his comrades Soviet Union machine gunner Yuri Islamov (pictured below).

At that moment, the departing four were attacked from the other flank, the return fire from a machine gun was opened by private 22 OBRSPN Igor Moskalenko, who was soon killed by an enemy sniper. Meanwhile, Yuri Islamov ran out of cartridges, which, according to the testimony of his colleagues, caused a joyful cry from the attacking Mujahideen, who could not overcome the resistance of one person. However, the machine gunner had grenades that flew in the direction of the militants. When the soldier of the 22nd special forces brigade calmed down, opponents moved towards him in order to finish off the Soviet special forces soldier who had so annoyed him, but Yuri Islamov was still alive, and he had one grenade, with which he blew up himself and several militants who approached. A cover group of four people was also destroyed, senior lieutenant Oleg Onischuk, having shot all his ammunition, standing up to his full height, with a grenade and a knife in his hand, moved towards the advancing mujahideen and took the last battle.

In order to destroy the remaining fighters of the 22nd Special Forces Special Forces, who were at the height, the bandits changed into the uniform of Soviet special forces, but the remaining fighters managed to repel 12 more attacks by the Mujahideen, two more fighters of the 22nd special forces brigade were killed. Reinforcements led by Captain Yaroslav Goroshko arrived at 6-50. Here is what the commander of the company 186 ooSpN 22 of the separate brigade of the GRU special forces writes about this: “I ran with my group at 5-30 on the take-off, hoping to find the launching turntables. Then they rushed to wake the pilots. It turns out that the command was not given to them. While Egorov was found, while they contacted the Air Force headquarters and received permission to take off, while the turntables were warmed up, the departure time had long passed. Combat MIs flew out only at 6 - 40. And evacuation MI - 8 at 7 - 20. When my group landed, we rushed to look for Onischuk's guys. They lay on the side of the mountain, stretching out in a chain from the Mercedes to the top. Oleg Onischuk lay tortured, stabbed with bayonets, holding a knife in his hand. He was abused by stuffing his mouth with a piece of his own bloody body. These bastards did the same with privates Misha Khrolenko and Oleg Ivanov. "

The group under the command of Captain Yaroslav Goroshko, also awarded the Hero's Star, destroyed 18 militants, putting the rest to flight - by that time 8 soldiers of the 22nd separate brigade of the GRU special forces remained alive.

Even today one can hear different opinions about the death of Oleg Onischuk's group - they speak of a tragic coincidence of circumstances, the negligence of the authorities, and the excessive self-confidence of the intelligence officers on the spot. One thing is indisputable: 12 scouts of the 22nd Special Forces brigade died the death of the brave on the autumn morning of October 31, 1978. Here are the names of the heroes: Tair Jafarov, Oleg Ivanov, Yuri Islamov, Igor Moskalenko, Yashar Muradov, Marat Muradyan, Erkin Salakhiev, Roman Sidorenko, Alexander Furman, Mikhail Khrolenko, Oleg Onischuk. In particular, thanks to these people, the flag today is a banner that is not ashamed to be equal to anyone.

The special forces of the GRU as a whole, not only the guys under, played the most significant role in Afghan war starting with the legendary operation to storm the palace and eliminate Amin. During the war, it was on the special forces of the Chief Intelligence Directorate The General Staff was entrusted with the execution of the most responsible and difficult, sometimes practically impossible tasks. GRU special forces began to form only in the 50s of the twentieth century, in the shortest time they became the elite, the most combat-ready part of the regular army. And today the GRU special forces are the pride of the domestic armed forces, the GRU special forces brigades have been at the forefront of any military conflicts for more than 60 years. The section of the online store Voentorg "Voenpro" "" is completely devoted to the Special Forces troops. Here you can see special forces flags, souvenirs and clothing with the symbols of the national army special forces. We remind you that the GRU Special Forces Day is celebrated on October 24 of each year, in the corresponding section of our military department you will find a lot of souvenirs and serious gifts for friends or relatives related to special forces. If you yourself once served or are now serving in a special forces brigade or are simply related to the department, then among the goods you will certainly find a lot of interesting things, for example, right now you can buy just such a Spetsnaz sweatshirt with a hood.

The turn of the 80s-90s of the last century was marked for the 22nd separate brigade of the GRU special forces by participation in endless interethnic conflicts on the territory of the USSR and abroad. In 1989, 22 OBRSPN formations were sent to Angola, where the tasks of the Soviet special forces included instructing the allies, protecting Soviet facilities and reconnaissance activities. In Baku, 1988-1989, 173 ooSpN was responsible for the security of areas with the Armenian population, in addition, special forces fighters carried out tasks to disarm bandit formations in the region. Then there was a conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh- 173 and 411 ooSpN were responsible for the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, of the most famous operations of the fighters of the 22nd ooSpN, here you can recall the destruction of a hail battery on the territory of Armenia, which fired at the settlements of Azerbaijan. Despite the fact that the special forces of the 22nd Special Forces Special Forces were on the side of the Azerbaijan Popular Front, immediately after the collapse of the USSR, attacks began on the military town, in which the forces of the 22nd separate brigade of the GRU special forces were stationed. The soldiers and officers of the army special forces of the GRU were forced to once again demonstrate total superiority over the separatists.

"Total superiority" is perhaps the most precise definition to characterize the actions of the Soviet and Russian special forces of the GRU in various wars. The goods of our military organization will help you to identify belonging to the native branch of the troops. In the section there is a place including a kind of circles with the symbols of special forces - such a souvenir will not only be a pleasant gift, but also a thing used every day. you can right now, just go to the corresponding page.

Among the operations of the Rostov special forces during the "First Chechen" period, the most famous is the participation of a detachment under the command of the hero of Russia Major V. Nedobezhkin from the 173 ooSpN in the operation to encircle S. Raduev's gang in the village of Pervomayskoye. A large group of militants (about 200 people) broke through the encirclement and moved to the consolidated detachment of 173 ooSpN - the attack was repulsed, 45 special forces killed 85 mercenaries, more than during the entire period of the assault on the village with all their might. Thus, the fighters of the 22nd Guards OBRSPN once again confirmed the status of one of the most combat-ready units of the Russian army. According to the results of that battle, the stars of the Heroes of Russia received: Major Vladimir Nedobezhkin, Captain Valery Skorokhodov, Senior Lieutenant Stanislav Kharin, Lieutenant Albert Zaripov and Captain Sergei Kosachev (posthumously). Albert Zaripov, today a well-known writer and human rights activist, wrote the book "Pervomaika" about those events. Hero of Russia Sergei Kosachev, medical officer of the 22nd separate special-purpose brigade, was killed by militants while carrying a wounded soldier from the battlefield. Fighters of the 22nd Special Forces Main Brigade of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU), consisting of the 173th special forces detachment, were on the territory of Chechnya until 1996, where they conducted many special operations to destroy the leaders of the gangs, encircle and destroy large enemy groups.

The special forces of military intelligence once again demonstrated "total superiority", but we remind you that among the products of the Voenpro online store in the "Military Intelligence" section, today there are not only a lot of various thematic souvenirs, but also everyday clothes for people who have attitude towards service in the units of the GRU General Staff. You can, or with symbols

The second Chechen campaign for the 22nd special forces brigade of the GRU from Rostov also started long before the start of the war. This time, the first unit, which was under tension in the area of tension in 1998, departed from Kaspiysk 411 special-purpose detachment, three months later, comrades on the border of Dagestan and Chechnya were replaced by 173 ooSpN - so they changed. From the beginning of hostilities, a consolidated detachment of 22 Special Forces was operating here, the core of which was the servicemen of 411 Special Forces. Fighters of the 22nd Guards Separate Special Forces Brigade were on the territory of Chechnya even after the end of hostilities. The command has repeatedly recognized the combined detachment of the 22nd special forces brigade as the most effective unit of the grouping of forces in the North Caucasus. During the Second Chechen war two fighters of the 22nd Guards OBRSPN were awarded the title "Hero of Russia". In August 1999, a detachment of scouts of the 22nd special forces brigade carried out an operation to free an officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from captivity, when it already seemed that the task had been completed, the special forces were overtaken by a detachment of militants and surrounded. The fighters of the 22nd Special Forces brigade took refuge in an abandoned building and successfully repulsed several enemy attacks, but the ammunition was running out. All that remained was to fight their way out of the encirclement. Sergeant Dmitry Nikishin was the first to leave the shelter and covered the retreat of his colleagues with automatic fire, during the retreat the commander of the detachment was seriously wounded, Sergeant Nikishin took him to the shelter, but by that time the officer of the Rostov special forces had died of his wounds. For the shown heroism, courage and combat training (several militants were destroyed by the fire of sergeant 22 OBRSPN), Dmitry Nikishin was awarded the title of Hero of Russia.

The commander of the reconnaissance group of the combined detachment of the 22nd separate brigade of the Special Forces of the GRU, Vyacheslav Matvienko, was awarded the title of Hero of Russia posthumously. During the reconnaissance operation to identify the positions of the bandits, a group of military intelligence special forces under the command of Vyacheslav Matvienko was on the verge of encirclement. The soldiers of the 22nd Special Forces of the GRU once again confirmed their highest class, throwing back the superior enemy forces and retreating to a safe distance, in many respects the success of the Rostov special forces group in battle was due to the clear and thoughtful instructions of the commander. The wounded remained on the battlefield, whom Vyacheslav Matvienko personally carried to a safe zone. The fourth sortie was fatal - a sniper's bullet cut the life of a senior lieutenant of the 22nd special forces brigade.

We remember and honor the names of all the heroes of all wars, we try to highlight the most memorable milestones as much as possible - it is important to know all this in order, firstly, not to repeat the mistakes of the past, and secondly, to know whom to look up to. The products of our military organization are, among other things, a way to express gratitude to the people, thanks to whom our state is still sovereign and indivisible. Among the thematic and foreign intelligence we offer, there are a variety of banners: these are nominal unit flags, such as standard flags of the combat arms, and made outside any standards, but this does not lose value. The latter includes, which you can see below - it depicts a special forces soldier of the GRU in the process of performing a combat mission, which is covered by "turntables". To buy any of the flags dedicated to scouts and special forces, visit the corresponding section.

In April 2001, the already legendary military intelligence special forces unit received the well-deserved name "Guards". We remind you that the 22nd Guards Separate Special Forces Brigade is the first and only unit in the domestic armed forces to receive this rank after the Second World War. The main impetus for this decision was the results of the First and Second Chechen campaigns - 22 OBRSPN was recognized by the command of the absolutely best military unit of this period.

Today, units of the 22nd Guards OBRSPN are deployed in the vicinity of the city of Aksai, Rostov Region (Stepnoy,) and the village of Bataysk (108 and 173 ooSpN). 108 ooSpN is the youngest unit of the Russian special forces of military intelligence, but already in 2004 it was recognized as the best in terms of training. The core of the combined detachment of the 22nd special forces brigade in South Ossetia in 2008 was also 108 ooSpN. Also in direct subordination to the GRU special forces brigade in Aksai is 56 ouoSpN.

Servicemen of the 22nd Guards Separate Special Forces Brigade of the GRU are not for nothing considered the best personnel of the domestic armed forces, service in the Rostov Special Forces implies endless training, marching, shooting and parachute jumping. In addition, although this military intelligence spetsnaz unit is not considered a mountain unit, training in the highlands is also underway. It is pointless to write in detail about how the fighters who fight under are trained - and much is simply classified, it is enough to know how these guys manifest themselves in a real battle.

At the disposal of the 22nd Guards OBRSPN today, first of all, modern equipment and equipment are supplied, for example, the Rostov Special Forces is armed with the "Tiger" combat vehicle of the Gorky Automobile Plant. Or here is such a drone "Grusha", which has been used by the soldiers of the 22nd Special Brigade of Special Forces of the GRU since 2009.

At the end of the story about the 22nd Special Forces brigade and its flag, I would like to cite this video, in which you can see the weekdays and holidays of the 22nd special forces brigade of the GRU. On the network you can also find a lot of thematic videos showing demonstration performances, exercises and training of fighters of 22 OBRSPN - an impressive sight. The song playing in the background in the video below is the unit's official anthem, even in the matter of self-identification, the 22nd Special Forces Brigade is ahead of the competition. We remind you that you can buy one more brigade symbol today in our military trade shop - the ordering procedure is standard.

However, souvenirs with symbols, for example, a cover for a military ID, will undoubtedly be a pleasant surprise. Well, since we are talking about gifts, we suggest paying attention to this, which has recently added to the range of the military agency "Voenpro".
